Dates for the 2012 Susanville Bluegrass Festival are June 22-24:

Make plans now to attend the Susanville Bluegrass Festival! The dates will be June 22-24, 2011. The event will take place at the fairground in Susanville, California, which is located on Highway 36 about 85 miles West of Reno, Nevada. Although the entertainment takes place the 22th-24th, you will be able to show up at the fairground to camp starting at 10AM on Monday, June 18th. The fairground is a very nice facility covered with grass and large shade trees. There are 75+ RV hook-up sites (water and power only) and plenty of room for additional campers. This event will feature three days of bluegrass music, non-stop jamming and an indoor, air-conditioned room for the quilters with music from the stage piped in so the
quilters don't miss anything.

I realize that in these tough times money can be an issue when choosing where you spend your vacation time. That being the case, I am going to keep the cost of attending this event down to a bare minimum for you and your family. Three day advanced sale tickets for adults will be $40, and will be available at the gate for $55. A three day advanced sale teen ticket will be $15 and will be available at the gate for $25. Children 12 and under will be free with a paid adult. Camping will be $15 for each night you stay...be it RV or tent. So, a family with two adults and two teenagers could purchase advanced sale tickets, attend the festival and camp for six nights for a total of $175. That's a pretty good deal.
You will be able to access the campsites on Monday morning, June 18th at 10AM.
What about pets? Pets are welcome at this event! The rules on pets are quite simple, really. Keep control of your animal. When you have them out either keep them on a leash while walking, or keep them restrained while at your campsite. Clean up any messes your pet makes. No pets in the audience area. If you can not maintain control of your animal the situation will be dealt with then. I have faith that pet owners are, by and large, responsible individuals and I am willing to give them every opportunity to prove me right. Many people who travel by RV full time have dogs or cats, others simply like to bring them along. I can see no logical reason to exclude those animals which, in turn, could quite possibly exclude their owners.

The entertainment will consist of the following groups:

1) The Chapmans
2) Mark Phillips and IIIrd Generation
3) Northern Departure
4) Central Valley Boys
5) Windy Hill
6) David Thom Band
7) Bound to Ride
8) Anderson Family Bluegrass
9) Snap Jackson and the Knock On Wood Players

We also recommend any festival produced by L and S Promotions!

We HIGHLY recommend any festival produced by Larry and Sondra Baker: L and S Promotions. Their upcoming Plymouth Bluegrass Festival held in Plymouth, California on September 16th - 18th is a top notch affair and is one of the best events in the western United States. Shoot, let's be honest, it's one of the best events anywhere in the U.S. The same can be said of their Lake Havasu named "Bluegrass on the Beach". This event is held the first weekend on March on the beautiful shores of Lake Havasu at the Lake Havasu State Park in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Dates for the 2012 festival will be March 2-3-4. The third festival produced by L and S Promotions is a one day event in Yuma, Arizona called "Bluegrass in the Park".  Whether it's Plymouth in the early fall, Lake Havasu or  Yuma (Jan 28, 2012) in the Southwest Spring, you can rest assured that you be attending an event that is nothing short of phenomenal!  Please check out all the events produced by L and S Promotions, you won't be sorry you did!
